Go Write Your Own Story

Have you ever heard the phrase, ‘Out of the mouths of babes?’ When someone young tells you something that you know to be very wise. That happened to me last Christmas. My twelve-year-old niece had given me this sweet little jewellery box which had this inscription on the top.

‘You’re the best Aunt. Go write your own story.’

Not only was I very touched by this thoughtful gift, I knew she had a point. It’s about time I wrote my own story. I have been illustrating other stories for a few years now and maybe 2023 is the year to get started.
